So I relatively recently came out to my fam and a large portion of my friends which has being going as well as can be expected, but was having difficulty figuring out where to go next. My family doctor does not want to touch HRT with a 20 foot pole, not through prejudice, but his own inexperience with it, despite the pdf I had already pulled from the Sherbourne Center's website. In any case, The 519 was extremely helpful in getting me in touch with somebody who then put me on the trail of 410, which, after picking up and putting down the phone several times, I finally mustered up the courage and called. Now, I have an appointment in March with one Dr. Man, and I was wondering if anybody has had experiences there, good or bad. Or even if anybody has seen that particular doc before. I don't know what to expect and I'm pretty shaken up at this point.

I have my hormones prescribed to me by a doctor at 410 (Dr Cavacuiti). Many of them are experienced with trans people. My personal experiences so far have all been positive. However, a friend of mine - who is seeing a different doctor at 410, I'm not sure which - has felt a bit put off by her doctor and feels that they aren't prescribing her a high enough dosage. I'm guessing it's a bit of a "your mileage may vary" sort of situation.

There are some other experiences here that you may find helpful!

I've been going there for ~7 years now, and have had a very good experience in general. Started going there for HRT stuff specifically, but ended up switching my GP there too. Good luck! :)
